On Wednesday, February 23rd during Panther time, WHS hosted thirty-four professionals to talk about their jobs with WHS students. Prior to the Career Day, students chose a profession they were interested in and could hopefully relate to and possibly model their career and educational goals around. The goal was to provide our students with a 30 minute "snapshot" of a possible career choice.
Career Day was possible because of the hard work and organization of Marsha Spencer and Lisa Leonard!
Additionally, several WHS students attended Technical Professional Day at Clark College on Thursday, February 24.
Also, Monday, February 28, sophomores who were interested toured the Clark County Skills Center. Students may apply to attend the Skills Center for the 2011-12 school year by completing an application. Applications may be picked up in the Career Center. Deadline will be Friday, March 4.
