Great Weekend for Panther Athletics

Panther Wrestlers Compete Hard at State

Congratulations are in order for Erin Locke, Haven Camden and Stephen Camden.  They each competed Friday and Saturday at the State Mat Classic in Tacoma.  Haven and Stephen each finished 6th place.  Erin Locke finished in 7th place.
I was fortunate to watch each one of them wrestle on Friday and I was impressed with their effort, skills and determination.  All three represented the Washougal HS Community very well. We are extremely proud of them as well as the coaching staff. John Carver, Heather Carver, Rob Anderson and Mike Lawson did a tremendous job this year coaching a young squad.  Panther Wrestling is going to be strong next year because of the work done this season.

 Panther Basketball Continues to Roll!

The Panther Boys Basketball team continues to work hard and believe!  They beat an outstanding team from W.F. West on Saturday evening at Mark Morris.  It was again, a team effort with several Panthers contributing at crucial moments.
After losing their first game at districts to North Thurston, they have won two straight.  The Panthers are playing North Thurston once again Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm at the W.F. West High School gymnasium  The winner of the game will join the 16-team tournament and probably have a game either Friday or Saturday night.
