Panthers do well at Solo and Ensemble

WHS band and choir members had a GREAT day at Solo and Ensemble Contest on Saturday February 25 at Heritage HS.

Jen Mahorney, WHS Choir Director had the following remarks, "I am SO PROUD of my singers for their hard work and the way they represented our school and district at this regional contest."    She also mentioned to watch next week's Post-Record for a featured story which will include the winners from the WHS Band program and their director, Kelly Ritter.

The large mixed ensemble took 2nd place (1st alternate) behind Union HS and may be called to State in April!  The Men's Ensemble scored a I-(Superior) rating and the soloists and Ladies Ensembles scored Is and IIs (Superior and Excellent).  These scores are based on state and national assessment standards for high school performing ensembles and soloists up to AAAA.
