Volunteer Fair, Stuff the Bus, Skyward and Financial Aid Night

WHS Commons during Volunteer Fair-2012

Volunteer Fair 2012-It was quite an impressive sight today in the commons.  During 2nd and 3rd periods, approximately 25 volunteer organizations were represented at our Volunteer Fair taking place in the WHS Commons.  Prior to the event, teachers were asked to talk to their students about the benefits of volunteering which included:
  • Getting involved in your community
  • Feeling good about giving back
  • Looks great on college applications and scholarships
  • Looks great on your personal resume
We are so appreciative of the organizations that took the time to visit with our students and staff.  This was a big deal for WHS students and staff and we are very thankful for the opportunity to visit with so many people who volunteer so much of their time.

WHS Panther Update and Information-Week Twelve

WHS Panther Update and Information-Week Twelve

Thankful-As we move nearer to the Thanksgiving Holiday, I am reminded me how thankful I am to have a community like Washougal High School. Our staff, students, and parents make WHS a great place to be!  Thank you for your continued support!

Thanksgiving Break (11/21-11/23)-Thanksgiving Break is a great time for students to get caught up on missing work.  Monday and Tuesday please encourage your student(s) to get any missing work that they can complete that work over Thanksgiving.  Also, many teachers have developed either websites or blogs to support WHS students. If you are not sure whether your student’s teacher(s) has provided additional support via the internet, check out our website and go to Departments.  Under individual departments, you will find teachers who have developed online support.  Please remember, that the algebra, geometry and algebra II math curriculum have online support that includes individual lessons for each section.  Over Thanksgiving break would be a great time to explore the online math support. WHS students can continue to work on their work at home.  Please encourage them to do so.
